Drawdown EcoChallenge is a 21-day engagement program focused on carbon reduction offered in partnership by EcoChallenge.org and Project Drawdown. Together we’re taking action on the 100 most substantive solutions to global warming. Stretch your limits, earn points, and compete for prizes…like a video call with a Drawdown leader for the winning team! Take the challenge, and see how three weeks of action add up to a lifetime of change for you and the planet.

Each year, thousands of people from around the world come together to take action in October EcoChallenge. The 2018 October EcoChallenge inspired 16,610 people from 2,400 cities and 78 countries to take 283,607 actions. Take the challenge, and see how three weeks of learning and action can add up to a lifetime of positive change for you, your community, and the planet!

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Registration: Rolling all year
Cost: Free

The 2nd Campus EcoChallenge takes place during the 2018-19 semester. The challenges and actions are be relevant for students living on or off campus — actions like installing solar panels are eliminated and the focus is on classroom, dorm, and campus-related actions. The imagery and messaging for the event is student-specific. The event time period is flexible, and each team has the ability to decide the length of their EcoChallenge (your campus could decide to run the EcoChallenge for 1 week, 1 month, 1 semester, etc.) The Campus EcoChallenge can be offered in conjunction with our courses books or as a stand-alone activity. Choices for Sustainable Living moves beyond the hype to explore sustainability more deeply. The eight-session course focuses less on defining sustainability than envisioning it – what would a sustainable world look like? And how can we create it together? The Choices EcoChallenge will help your group stay connected in between session meetings, connect you to others, and expand your network to everyone around the world who is participating in the course.

Choices for Sustainable Living course book has been integrated with EcoChallenge to help you discover new ways to make change more possible and powerful, both individually and together. Choices EcoChallenge will help your group stay connected in between session meetings, connect you to others, and expand your network to everyone around the world who is participating in the course.

The Live Greener Challenge is a month-long sustainability engagement program presented by the Portland Trail Blazers in partnership with EcoChallenge.org and Daimler Trucks North America. The Challenge takes place April 1 – April 30, 2019. Participants track and share their progress online in a robust platform and earn points for taking action. The combination of collective action, camaraderie, and friendly competition makes change a little easier — and a lot more fun.

The 2018 October EcoChallenge inspired 16,610 people from 2,400 cities and 78 countries to take 283,607 actions. The impact created by the 2018 October EcoChallenge was awesome and over 90% of participants intend to continue taking action after the Challenge too!

MetLife had over 1,400 employees from 26 countries participate in a private EcoChallenge in April 2017. The results were inspiring!

We are thrilled to be partnering with Project Drawdown this year to offer the Spring Drawdown EcoChallenge! Take action on the 100 most substantive solutions to global warming. For each solution, explore the history, carbon impact, ways to take action, and additional resources.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The NCW EcoChallenge is a community-wide competition organized by Climate Conversations NCW for up to 1,000 North Central Washington residents in Chelan and Douglas counties. The CCNCW mission is to increase public dialogue and awareness of climate change through education, advocacy and activism. By competing in the NCW EcoChallenge you can win individual prizes and the three highest scoring teams can win funds for the non-profit of their choice.
