About Earth Month Ecochallenge: Drawdown & Deloitte
The effects of climate change are significant. But together, we can drive positive change. Progress is possible if we act collectively, and it is vital that we all (business and society) take urgent and immediate action.
To do our part to help the world achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, Deloitte has launched WorldClimate, our strategy to drive responsible climate choices within our organization and beyond.
The opportunity to create a more sustainable world is at our collective fingertips, and we must all ask ourselves, “What climate action will I take today?” That's why Deloitte has partnered with Ecochallenge to take climate action in Earth Month Ecochallenge: Drawdown.

reflections & inspiration
"There is nothing better than getting outside and remembering WHY we are doing this Ecochallenge. To protect the place we call home."
- Allison
"Wish there was more awareness about this [Ecochallenge] throughout the firm, not just in our local offices!"
- Anna
"I saw this challenge, and was planning on getting one of my friends a notebook for her birthday, so decided to research one that was made with recycled paper. They're surprisingly easy to find, and I supported a local business while I was at it!"
- Patricia
"I want to switch to an electric car so I can provide a great example for my children. Their clean and safe future are priceless. I chose to participate in this challenge because I want my children to live in a cleaner, safer environment. They are my reason why."
- Jeanette
"This was an extremely rewarding challenge that further opened my eyes to the actions and solutions that are available to all of us, that will help contribute to a more sustainable community and world. It shows that taking even a few minutes out of your day to educate yourself and others can really have a lasting impact."
- Lauren
"I will not buy any synthetic nitrogen fertilizers for my garden in the future."
- Jane
"Oh boy was this harder than expected! We eat a lot of fresh food, so I thought we were doing a pretty good job. It turns out just about everything we get that isn't fresh seems to have palm oil snuck into it, even some of my bathroom products! It has been quite the learning experience to try to cut palm oil out and I plan to continue learning and working on eliminating it."
- Melissa
"I loved the Ecochallenge! I liked having a balance between learning opportunities, one-time actions and ongoing actions. I feel like I am in a good position to be more mindful about my actions and their impact on the planet and community. So glad I participated!"
- Laura
"Past week I volunteered to clean my block with 12 other block members. We picked up all the trash, cleaned the dirt and had a small breakfast together after! It was great seeing everyone come together!"
- Parth
"What a great read on regenerative agriculture from drawdown.org! Regenerative agriculture has the potential to capture additional carbon, increase biodiversity by breaking up monocultures and create more sustainable soil banks!"
- Shehnaz
"What I have learned most from this challenge is that I can be green in so many small ways that have a significant impact — picking up trash, not littering, volunteering at my local community garden, walking instead of driving when possible. And the best part is that I made my kids a part of it so they can learn these habits for their own."
- Cameca
"What a month! Educating myself, watching documentaries, reading additional articles, trying to reduce my waste and eat locally sourced produce and reducing my carbon footprint while traveling! I plan to continue my journey and try to raise awareness among friends and family! Cheers!"
- Anna
"I've been more focused on my literal waste (plastic, consumer goods, etc.) and less focused on my carbon footprint. This has been a great learning experience to help me broaden my view and think beyond what I can physically see!"
- Margaret
"Great article on Amazon's eco-friendly shopping platform. Since joining this challenge, I have become more aware of what I buy/consume and what companies I buy from. It is so important to support companies who want to support our environment!"
- Molly
"Last day of Earth month :( It's gone by quickly! I've really appreciated this challenge — I think it's encouraged me to boost my environmental impact in very creative ways! Would definitely be interested in joining future challenges like this one!"
- Jenny
