The Ecochallenge Platform has been awarded and recognized for its innovative approach to targeted behavior change as a method to substantially lower greenhouse gases.
In April 2019, Ecochallenge.org was listed as one of four finalists in the Social and Cultural Impacts category for the internationally-recognized Keeling Curve Prize. From a global pool of applicants, the KCP Analyst Team, Advisory Council, and Judging Panel choose the highest impact projects according to performance metrics and fulfillment of category specifications.
In November 2018, the Ecochallenge Platform was named a Top 10 Finalist in the prestigious global competition, Solution Search’s "Climate Change Needs Behavior Change". Partnering organizations for the competition include Conservation International, National Geographic, Rare, The Nature Conservancy, United Nations Development Programme, and World Wildlife Foundation. In March 2019, our team traveled to DC for the global summit. There we were awarded $5,000 for one of three Early Mover Prizes.
In January 2016, United Nations University awarded Ecochallenge.org an international designation of Outstanding Flagship Project for its role in contributing to worldwide community engagement in the field of Sustainable Consumption and Production.
