ABOUT PEOPLE'S ECOCHALLENGE

The People's Ecochallenge is a 21-day challenge to take action for a better shared future. From October 5 – October 26, 2022, we committed to trying and doing new things. We thought about and acted on proven solutions through five new categories based on sustainable climate actions: regenerating nature, nourishing food, balancing consumption, cultivating communities and enacting equity.

Fun actions encourage new habits. Small steps lead to big change. Together, we build a sustainable world and a healthy planet.

"Participating in the Ecochallenge for the past 5 years has really made me aware of the impact my lifestyle choices have on the environment, sustainability, and fellow humans. I have made small but meaningful and lasting changes that I believe will help create a better future for not only me but future generations."

— Ann

"I've been vegan for almost 2 years to help the planet, but I want to see what else I can do to help our planet! I'm so excited to see so many people taking steps to help our planet thrive!"

— Cathryn

"I have always taken so much from this Earth that I want to spend the rest of my life giving back. The Ecochallenge gives me so many great ways to do this. And I love going on this journey with a whole community of like minded people, hearing about their challenges and successes."

— Ambuja

"I love that this challenge holds me accountable!"

— Rebecca

"I'm grateful that the Ecochallenge helped turn my thinking about supporting my local food pantry to ACTUALLY taking action to do so!"

— Cathy

"This challenge was a life changing experience. I am embarrassed to admit just how ignorant I have been. I feel like I have developed habits from this challenge that will be sustainable in the long run and help make a contribution to making things better."

— Gabe

"I found at least one item to donate each day (many days several items) and donated over 50 items to a local charity during the People's ecochallenge."

— Jon

"I loved learning about my local pollinators!! I unfortuantely wasn't able to plant any native flowers since I don't have a yard but I did help distribute milkweed seeds!!"
